Difference between Dyeing & printing

Difference between Dyeing & printing:

Dyeing
Printing
The process by which a textile materials is to be changed physically or chemically so that it looks mono uniform colored is called dyeing.
The process in which different types of colors are used to make a particular design on the textile goods is called printing.
For dying, dyes are applied on the whole fabric equally.
For printing, dyes are applied on the fabric localizedly to produced desired design.
Fabric, yarn and fiber can be colored by Dying.
Printing only can colored dye fabric.
Dyes are applied on both side of fabric.
Dyes are applied on only one side of fabric.

Only one dye is used for dyeing.
One more dyes are used for printing.
Precise temperature should be maintain during dyeing.
It is unnecessary to maintain precise temperature during printing.

The density dye solution is less than the density of printing paste.
The density of printing paste is high than dye solution.
Dyeing needs a large amount of water.
Printing needs a little amount of water.
Dyeing does not need thickener.
Printing needs thickener.
Steaming & curing process is not necessary for dyeing.
Steaming & curing process is necessary after printing.
The cost of dyeing is less than printing.
The cost of printing is high than dyeing.
Dyed fabric are soft.
Printed fabric are hard.

Difference between Hydrophilic & Hydrophobic fiber?

Difference between Hydrophilic & Hydrophobic fiber: Hydrophilic Hydrophobic The fibers which is absorb water is known as Hydrophobic fibers. The fibers which is not absorb water is known as Hydrophobic fibers. Most of natural fibers are Hydrophilic fiber. Most of man-made fibers are Hydrophilic fiber. These are less sustainable. These are more sustainable. This types of fibers attract moisture of the body. This types of fibers repel moisture of the body. This types of fibers are more comfortable than Hydrophobic fibers. This types of fibers are less comfortable than Hydrophilic fibers. These fibers has low intermolecular force. These fibers has high intermolecular force.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMBED AND CARDED YARNS?

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMBED AND CARDED YARNS: Combing and carding are two ways to prepare the raw fiber for spinning. In order to make yarn, the raw fibers need to be fluffed up and aligned prior to spinning. -Carding creates a slightly fuzzier yarn as not as many of the fibers are aligned. -Combing creates a smoother yarn as the fibers are more aligned. Combing is the more expensive process as you have higher waste involved than with carding.

What is Textile? or Definition of Textile
